I run a sustainability consulting practice. Though my clients are corporations, I often have the opportunity to recommend consumer initiatives and/or products, which my clients then pass along to their employees in an effort to encourage their entire employee base to consider more green options. To that end, I would like to learn a bit more about your product.
To start…why do you sell both black and white dryer balls? Is it necessary to use on for ‘darks’ and the other for light colors? Is there a core to the balls, or are they wool all the way through?
Hello, Thank you for your questions! You can use either color wool dryer balls with any load of laundry. I have had alot of people asking for a choice in colors and simply chose natural black because of no chemical dyes. The cores are 100% wool down to the core- same high quality as the outer wool. I do not substitute cores with used lint or fabric scraps which is how some people make theirs. Thank you!
just got your wool dryer balls…have used them in 5 loads of wash already! Oh my gosh, I love them. No static even with washing acrylic blankets! Thank you!!!
THANK YOU for your kind words! I am so glad that you are enjoying your wool dryer balls! Thank you for your post!
I really want some of your dryer balls, but I live on Guam right now. Is there any way you would ship to Guam? It’s a US territory with USPS, so the cost (with USPS) would be the same as any other state. Thanks!
Hello, I do ship to Guam! Just place your order and I will ship them right out! THANK YOU
hello, i’d like to get more info on wholesale pricing, we looooove your dryer balls! Thank you!
Can you please tell me if anyone stocks your product in Australia. If not do you ship to Australia and what would be the postage cost for 6 pack? Many thanks SB
Hello, I sure do ship to Australia. The total should come up once you add a 6-pack to your cart. Thank you!
Can you please tell me if a six pack of wool balls will do a large dryer load successfully? Also is there any functioning difference between the black and white balls, beside their colour?
Hello,
A 6-pack will help fluff and dry a larger load of laundry faster. Some people do have more in their dryer than 6 (my mom has 10…lol!), but 6 works great. There is no difference between color dryer ball. Both are undyed so they will not transfere color to your laundry at all. The most popular is the arctic cream (white) wool dryer balls. Thank you !
Do the balls come with instructions? How do you use them? Do you place them individually into the dryer? What is the drawstring bag for? What kind of care or maintenance do they require? I am going to be using them on large loads and for softening the wash. Do you recommend 6 or more balls? It’s just that I am in Australia so I’d like to do one order to be economical. Many thanks.
Hello! Yes each pack comes with use and care instructions. For large loads 6 is recommended (or more). The bag can be used however you like. Some people store clothes line clips in it as they turn to dryers in winter months/inclimate weather and such. You put all dryer balls in at once and they stay in the dryer for years
. Thank you- Cheers!
Hi there! Just wondering how firm your dryer balls are?? I purchased some locally but they didn’t seem to work properly because they were so soft. Are they like a tennis ball? Thanks
Hello,
I have had ALOT of people ordering from me because of the other balls out their not working. They are having problems with hardness and with raveled up balls comming unraveled in the dryer after a few weeks! Mine are made tougher, they are not quite as hard as tennis balls (tennis balls are way too loud) but they are much more firm than others out there and do the job for years! If you wanted to buy only one to for a test ride, (or to see all my wonderful feedback) click here for my Ebay auction. http://cgi.ebay.com/Wool-Dryer-Balls-for-clothing-cloth-diapers-toys-NEW_W0QQitemZ160317916741QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item2553b14645
A set of 5 balls will last for how long on the average? I usually wash about 4 loads of laundry every week. So that is around 200 loads a year. Would they last that long and be effective?
I was wondering if the dryer balls shed in the dryer putting wool fibers on the other clothes? Also, do they help prevent static?
Hello! The way I make these wool dryer balls, they will last for years. Even with everyday use! They are not raveled up so will never unravel. Thank you!
I recently ordered some of your dryer balls but they did not come with any instructions. Is there anything special I need to know?
Hello,
All bags of wool dryer balls come with instructions- I am sorry if that bag was missed. All you have to do is place all of the 4 or 6 balls into your dryer and they will stay in the dryer as long as you wish! There is no maintenance at all- enjoy them for years and thank you again for your order!
Hello, these balls are tightly felted and do not leave fibers on your laundry. They do help with static by preventing the laundry from wadding up tight. You will find that when you remove the laundry from the dryer, each piece comes out easily. Some people in the more northern locations and who have alot of polyester clothing combat tougher static by rubbing a dryer sheet over their wool balls or by wetting a few balls before drying. Thank you!
Wow, what great service. I just ordered a couple of days ago and received package today. Thank you
Is the wool used in your dryer balls from sheep? I have seen alpaca wool dryer balls and wondered if there is a difference. Thank you.
Hello! Yes, my wool is from sheep. Alpaca is a softer, less coarse hair fiber that does not welt well enough to make dryer balls out of. Don’t buy the dryer balls out there that are made by someone raveling up a ball and felting it as they never last more than a month of two! Mine are made different and last for years and years!
I had a problem trying to purchase as a window said invalid address. I cannot find a contact number or email address on your site so could you email me please.
Do you ship to Ontario?
Yes I sure do! Thank you for your interest!
Good Morning
I just ordered 6 of your dryer balls. My question is, if I do a smaller load is it ok to just leave the 6 balls in the dryer or should I adjust the amount of balls for the load size? TIA
Hello, you can just leave them all in and they will make short work of the small loads of laundry! Thank you for your purchase and ENJOY!!
After hearing about you on Mary Jane’s Farmgirl Connection, I went ahead and ordered 6 of the white wool dryer balls. Frankly, in opting for an eco-friendlier way to do my laundry, I was prepared to accept a little inconvenience or disappointment with the results of using these in lieu of white vinegar or (sometimes) fabric softener. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that the balls are not only easier to use than any other method out there, but they really do soften all my laundry to perfection, while reducing the length of time I need to run the dryer to get things really dry. I’m absolutely delighted with them. Honestly, I have some cotton pullovers and other nice, but rather ordinary, sweaters that I swear feel like cashmere now, no kidding. Please don’t stop making them! I might buy a couple more for the cats. I think they’d go nuts over them, but I’m not giving them the chance to get at mine! They stay in the dryer, where they belong. I’d also like to say it was very pleasant dealing with you. The dryer balls arrived in the mail much sooner than I expected.
Hello. I would like to order your dryer balls (I saw them on the Marilyn Dennis Show this morning.) I live in Canada and trust you ship here? I am getting an error message when I try to order them and pay through pay pal. Your suggestions?
Hi I was trying to place an order for the 6 dryer balls and was not able to pay via paypal.

I just received my wool dryer balls and I have to say, they are fabulous! Not only do they cut my drying time but they DO make my clothing softer. I only ordered two because I wanted to make sure that they would work well and do they!
Also, she was great during the shipping process. She answered my question promptly and followed through on what she said! Great company to do business with and I would thoroughly recommend her and her dryer balls!
